The external pageLvL Up app, a smartphone-based, chatbot-delivered holistic lifestyle coaching intervention, will be a key part of the study.

Developed by the Mobile Health Interventions module of FHT in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore , the LvL UP app will be used in an intervention group for half of the participants to provide personalised lifestyle coaching.

By tracking regular goals and learning to cultivate healthier eating habits, increase physical activity and enhance mental wellness, the researchers hope to understand if LvL UP can help prevent Type 2 diabetes in high-risk groups.

This study, called 'Happy' for 'Harnessing human potential and improving health span in women and their children', is led by the Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS) at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, in collaboration with the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Singapore-ETH Centre.
