Prof. ANG Wei Tech

Module Head and Principal Investigator of Connected Rehabilitation Technology and Assistive Devices

Prof. Wei Tech Ang is the Executive Director of the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore, a joint research institute by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Agency for Science, Technology And Research and National Healthcare Group. He is an Associate Professor with the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and LKC School of Medicine, NTU. He received the Ph.D. degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004, and the M.Eng. and B.Eng. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in 1999 and 1997 respectively.

Prof. Ang’s research focuses on robotics technology for biomedical applications, which include surgery, cell micromanipulation, rehabilitation and assistive technology. His work has been well funded, published and cited, and resulted in several inventions licensed to the industry and spin-off companies.
