Dr Anoop Kumar SINHA
Postdoctoral Researcher of Connected Rehabilitation Technology and Assistive Devices
Dr. Anoop Kumar Sinha is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Singapore ETH Center (SEC), working on Future Health Technologies for stroke patients. His research focuses on user-centered inclusive design of rehabilitation technologies for RehabGym, along with usability testing and acceptance of these technologies by the users. Prior to joining SEC, he worked as a Scientist at the Institute of High-Performance Computing, A*STAR Singapore, from 2023 to 2024, where his research involved studying user-centered design of cyber-physical human systems, smart wearables, as well as VR-integrated systems for industrial process automation (Digital Twins for smart factory). Anoop has also worked as a Research Associate at the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing, NTU, Singapore.
Anoop holds a Ph.D. degree in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and a master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, India. His research during his Ph.D. focused on the design of a fully articulated and sensorized hand-arm system for the social humanoid Nadine. His research journey, spanning from master’s to his current position as a Postdoctoral researcher at SEC, has been characterized by hands-on research projects across various competencies. Notably, his work extends beyond theoretical exploration, resulting in the creation of tangible outcomes in the form of products.
