FHT to co-organise TCRT Summer School in Switzerland

Held from 12-16 June, the TCRT Summer School will feature plenary lectures, case studies, and networking moments in the field of technology-assisted rehabilitation.

The FHT programme is offering five (5) travel grants of SGD 1,000 to each of the 5 top applicants based in Singapore. To apply for the travel grant you must be based in Singapore but not affiliated to the FHT programme. To apply for the grant, simply answer “Yes” to the dedicated question in the external pageregistration form by 7 May.

The Future Health Technologies (FHT) programme of the SEC will be co-organising the 'Towards a Continuum of Robot-assisted Therapy' (TCRT) Summer School from 12-16 June.

Along with fellow organisers the Relab ETH Zurich and Clinica Hildebrand Centro di riabilitazione Brissago, the TCRT Summer School will take place in Clinica Hildebrand's rehabilitation clinic and aims at promoting the collaboration between clinicians, health scientists, and engineers. During the week, participants will have the opportunity to interact with experts of the field and with patients of the clinic (case studies).

Registration fee: CHF 250 (includes hotel (double-room), lunch, welcome cocktail, and gala dinner)

The overall goal of the TCRT summer school is to enhance the collaboration between clinicians, health scientists, and engineers. The TCRT Summer School includes plenary lectures with experts of the field, case studies where participants interact with patients and therapists to design a technology to support the patient, and networking moments.

This year, the TCRT Summer School will focus on topics related to assistive technologies for activities of daily living and to establishing a technology-assisted continuum of care from the clinic to the home, to promote independence in persons with neurological injuries such as stroke.

Confirmed speakers from FHT include Prof. Dr Tobias KowatschProf. Dr Roger Gassert, Dr Olivier Lambercy, Prof. Dr Seng Kwee Wee, and Dr Sowjanya Kallakuri.
